Therapy with me

You may be seeking therapy for something that has happened in your life, or for feelings and patterns you’re beginning to question. I support adults with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges and difficulties around eating. There is also room to explore what hasn’t felt understood, seen or heard, or simply to get to know yourself better.

I believe you have internal resources to support your growth and healing, even when these feel difficult to access. Together, we get to know the different parts of you, the roles they have taken on and what they may need. Responses that once seemed confusing can begin to make sense as we understand the feelings, beliefs and experiences connected with them.

As this understanding deepens, we work towards less internal conflict and responses that feel less urgent or overwhelming, creating more space to choose how you respond in your life.

Concentric Self reflects this gradual deepening of understanding. Each layer of awareness forms the foundation for the next.

Following what you bring

You can come with particular goals, or without a specific agenda. What you bring to each session guides our work, with attention to what emerges and feels important to explore.

People settle, think and connect at different tempos. Sometimes talking comes easily; at other times, you may need longer to notice what you’re experiencing or find words for it. We make room for movement, stillness and pauses as we work.

Main approaches I use

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is the main framework informing my work. It recognises that we can feel pulled in different directions, such as wanting connection while also wanting to withdraw. We understand these responses as different parts of ourselves, each with its own feelings, concerns and intentions. Rather than trying to push these parts away, we seek to understand their roles and gradually find ways to relate to them with greater curiosity and compassion.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR focuses on distressing memories and the feelings, beliefs and physical responses connected with them. It uses a structured process that includes bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements, to help process these experiences, with the aim of reducing distress in the present. You may come specifically for EMDR or include it within broader therapy.

Taking the first step

To enquire about an appointment, email me with a little about what’s bringing you to therapy.

I will then get in touch to let you know whether I have availability and discuss next steps. If you’d find it helpful, we can arrange a 15-minute phone or Zoom conversation to answer questions and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.

50-minute individual therapy sessions: $280.
